NMEC - Nominal Minimum Effective Concentration[]
NMEC is a proposed standard measure to help gauge polymer potency. In its current (June 2017), it is the amount of polymer needed in 1 liter of a 19:1 water:detergent mix to activate it sufficiently to achieve 5 bubbles-per-dip (bpd) with a small plastic wand.
It is currently a provisional measure which we are exploring for usefulness. So far, it has proven helpful for helping determine the strength of one's PEO.
